My wife filled my 550 up with unleaded today, anyone tell me how to drain the fuel tank? I've changed the fuel filters but I want to get all the fuel out. Any help would be appr.
I found some help thanks, I see Im not the only one this has happened to.

Reason: found the answer
I put 22 gal of unleaded in my truck a couple of months ago. Drove about 10 miles before I realize something was wrong. Stopped removed the fill cap and I could smell the gas.
Had it towed to my house and was able to siphone 24 gal out of the tank, that left about 5 gals in the tank. I then put in 5 gal of diesel fuel and drove to the station and filled it up. Its been running as good as allways. I have never had a problem with this truck. I guess I lucked out that time.
BTW... I had called the local ford dealer and asked someone in the service department what they did. He told me just to siphone all I could out of the tant and fill it back up with diesel.
If it's anything like my F550 there is a drain plug on the bottom of the tank.
Drain it out and refill with diesel fuel.
Once the head rails have cleared it will run fine with no lasting effects.
