I doubt they'll post the results. Once the hammer goes down their job is over. Only the big auction places l Barret Jackson, who deal in exotic and classic cars, post their prices. It's a form of advertising for them to show what kind of goofy prices people will pay for their old crates.

 

maybe not as a grand total, but I just looked on ebay, and the '53 Lincoln Capri sold for $825. You could try looking at all the trucks as I am now. There's also a '56 Mercury M100 on ebay 30 miles from my place. It doesn't look bad at all for a northern truck.

 

I "watched" every 48-52 Ford truck. Here are the results. I hope they appear in the post.

Thank god that I was too far away from this auction. With that many trucks available, you can start an instant 48-52 used parts business.

I could have made it up there if I really wanted to. I could have bid on the trucks I wanted and made a few trips up there with a few friends with trailers. I could have if I wanted to. I wouldn't have a house to live in, or a marriage , but I could have.

Why are is allf of the good stuff so far away?

 

By the time I would have made it to the auction, I would have been single. The only difference is that my wife would leave me while I was on the way, but I still would have a house to live in. I have way too much stuff at my house to move!
