Hi all - I am considering getting an SCT tuner and am wondering do I absolutly have to do exhaust ? Just want to live'en her up a little, I dont need to go to the tracks but I do tow a 10K lb camper from time to time, I have 315's and 5.5" lift low end isn't real good even w/stock tires. I would go with gauges though from what I have read. I appreciate any input.
Definately get some gauges, EGT included. If you see that your EGTs are running around 1300+ you should seriously consider a more free flowing exhaust.

Hey guys what is the difference in sound with the MBRP exhaust? Is it as loud as a straight-piped pickup? I ordered an SCT from Matt yesterday. I'm going to run 3 economy tunes so he told me exhaust should go on next before gauges. I'm all for installing one when I have the funds if it won't be too loud. I just don't want too much noise.
The biggest difference you will hear is the whine from the turbo. As far as "rumble", you will only notice it under hard acceleration or with the windows down. I have no in cab drone whatsoever. There is a difference between loud and awesome sounding loud. I absolutely love my MBRP system.
