I have a 1982 f100 and I am having problems finding body parts for it. I could probably make it work but I dont want to rig body parts together. If you have any sugetions on where I can get parts I would really appritiate it.

Most of the parts are available, as stated, try the sponsors, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, Blue Oval Truck Parts for starters.

What are you looking for? If you do a search on the web, most of what's available will come up. You can go to www.car-part.com if you want used parts at a local junkyard where you live.

body parts

It depends on what you are lookin for. I had good luck with NPD- although some of there stuff is from oversees and I just can't put that on a Ford so ask them-they will tell you where it comes from. also JCWhitney has some good deals-I bought floor pans and cab corners from them & they were made in the USA.

Some of their sheetmetal is low quality though...There's no match for factory made stuff...I'd try a local junkyard..

All aftermarket body panels come from over seas and for the most part they are junk.

Used OEM is the best way to go.

What do you need? I will be parting out a 1985 Bronco, the front sheet metal and doors are the same for 80-86.

btw my observation is thus: body parts from ford are 'out of print' - period. Except for perhaps a hidden door behind a box somewhere, there is no such thing as commercially available NOS.

The used stuff, not rusted (meaning from AZ/NM etc) is getting rarer than an educated democrat. Rusted stuff, CANNOT, repeat CANNOT be fixed to any degree of satisfaction. Once oxidation has started, it will finish regardless of how much sanding, naval jelly and paint you have used.

the replacement parts aint THAT bad. just look for CAPA certified ($250 for a door vs $125) and even the non certified stuff aint bad. God created fender washers for a reason.

Perhaps year one will acquire the dies, but even then - it will be offshore and if so, LOOK for china. used steel with 3-4 burns already on it is pretty darn pure.
