I got my Xcal3 tuner last week and after a couple of hours of cussing I got Matt's tunes installed...WoW Aggressive economy is sweet but I need more so....
I got my EGR sneaky pipe yesterday and ARP headstuds last week and dropping it off Sunday night for the install. I got a awesome deal here in from a friend at Ford for the installation.
I also got my ARP headstuds from a local guy for $425
Hey Matt,
Be looking for that waiver to sign at the end of next week!!!!
Is there a difference with the Xcal2 and the Xcal3 if so what is it? I am looking at them and need more information as to what to go with. I will be purchasing which ever one from Matt.
if you purchase it from matt, you will get the new xcal3 i believe the main upgrade is more data logging capability, and the ability to store canned tunes in addition to custom tunes...

LvTitan hit the nail on the head! I have three custom tunes and 4 box tunes!
is the Xcal 3 the same as the livewire? I am thinking about giving the guys at Spartan a call but want to make sure that I get the right tools. What do you guys think? Thanks. Also, If I don't have head studs installed what is the most aggressive Matt tune I can run with out killing my truck!

No the XcalIII is not the same as the Livewire. The XcalIII is an updated version of the XcalII, the new XcalIII has more memory and able to data log better than the XcalII. The Livewire has the ability to monitor engine functions and work like gauges. Note the Livewire has had several issues in the past, so you may want to ask Matt his current opinion of the Livewire.
personally i am of the opinion that livewire is not quite ready yet. and i am just fine running gauges anyway, i prefer the look of them. the livewire is nice, but it's big and bulky compared to the other monitors out there.
What is the cost of the XCalIII unit. What are the options that give best tow and normal street operations without over extending the 6.0. I have a 2005 with no mods, except for a larger exhaust . I tow about 11000# trailer.
I have already replaced a #8 injector, 2 EGR valves and a turbo by 26000 miles.
I get 17.5 on a no tow run, and 8-9 on a tow run. What can I expect to improve any of this.
