01 Supercrew Wheel Bearings
01 F-150 Supercrew 4x4. Are the front wheel bearings a hub bearing combo or can I replace just the wheel bearings? Y2K's website shows just the bearings but the Ford parts guy said it is not serviceable and I have to buy a hub, but he didn't look it up. He said about 300 for the hub so I am hoping he is wrong.

if you have a 4x2 they are just wheel bearings. the 4x4 is a hub/bearing combo. and hes about right on the price. try and find someone who works at a ford dealer or ford in general to get a discount fi your lookin into OEM.

It doesn't have to be OEM, Timken or BCA will work just fine too. Thank you for the reply. Everywhere I looked showed only a unit bearing for the 4x4 front hub except Y2K which does show just the bearings for a 4x4, it was a little confusing.
