After fighting this thing for weeks its finally fixed. I cleaned the screen in the FPR (totaly blocked) and put a new O-ring on the connection (chewed up)
turned the key and it actualy started, ran crappy for a minute or so then smoothed out. I tried it again last night cold and again started imediately again this morning at 35 deg, no problem. I can only figue that the o-ring was leaking
air into the system and then would seal up as the engine warmed up? I'll let someone who knows this fuel system better than I ponder that but no doubt that was the issue.
