Hot foot pedals?

I know this sound dumb, but I have had a feeling that at my feet when I drive my EX, there is either hot air blowing on my feet or the pedals are hot, especially the brake pedal. Yesterday, after driving, I got out, kept the motor on, and felt with my hands. I did not feel any air blowing down, but I grabbed the brake pedal and it was hot. I grabbed the steel link above the pedal and it was hot. I did the same with the accellerator and the steel and it was hot. Warm is more accurate, but with the shoes I wear at work, it is hot driving in town and on the road. Anybody got any ideas? Is this common or is there something I need to get looked at?

Thank you,
