I need to replace the small fuel lines that go between the injectors on my 91 7.3. Can I use regular fuel line or does it have to be something special?
Warning.....you need to replace the O rings under the return tees.
As soon as you touch the return lines, they will start leaking air into the return system.
Air intrusion into the return system will cause your engine to start and then stall after several seconds.
It will be very hard to start after it stalls.
Dave - Thanks. I am getting to replace the o - rings and that is why I needed to know about the hose. I have three bad o - rings on the passenger side and wanted to have all the parts to do the jobe before I open up the system. Thanks again!
I did a partial replace of my return line the first time I did it.
After changing most of the O rings twice I learned to do everything I was going to do at once.
Then leave it alone.
After only a few days of driving, the new O rings are hard enough that if they are disturbed, they will leak air into the fuel system.
Then the hard starting returns.
