I have the phantom 60 lb boost..it reads 2 lb per line (i can still read between the lines) as the 30 lb reads 1 lb per line...was only a couple $$ more but I want a bigger turbo down the road and only want to install one gauge..

I've gotten close to that too. But nowhere near 35. Since I was surging so bad, I put on the WW. So now it maxes right around 25-26. Just where it should be.

Wide open throttle on a stock engine should give 18 psig. Size the guage so that your capable of reading the expected max psig without overranging the gauge yet when normal operating you are in the middle 2/3 of the gauge scale. a 0-35 PSIG should give you this.

I too have the 60-psi Auto Meter Phantom-II ,and it actually has bigger numbers than the 35-psi gauge does althought the increments are alittle harder to read. For me, I didn't have a choice as to what gauge to run with the GT-BB Turbo either. I can tell yah this, I did the recommended install and used the supplied T-fitting that goes into the MAP sensor line for the install. I also used the supplied (rubber adapter) that attaches from the plastic line to the T-fitting. Well you should replace the supplied rubber adapater asap. It will blow off and or blow apart. It's a very flimsy adapter that doesn't hold up. I went to Kragen to find the part I needed to replace the A.M. adapter. Or do the AIH sensor delete/adapter type install. Just depends on your preference. Country

My turbo has a WW , waste gate is tight red line removed , EBV has been deleted , I don't push it to 35# all the time it only hits it once in awhile . Don't forget it not just the turbo do'in all the work the rest of the mods help it get those #s like in my sig.

Actually you can change the air intake and exhaust size an it will make no difference on the maximum boost that you get as this is controlled by a dump valve to get ride of excess boost. You would have to delete that valve or change the size spring on the actuator to get more pressure. Going over pressure by much also would require a different setup on the flexible boots on the air tube expansion joints to keep them from separating or blowing off. These of course are available as after market modifications if you want to spend the bucks.
