What do I have?
I just purchased a 1961-1963 f-100 unibody and I wanted to know if someone could decode my VIN and my door tag so I know exactly what i have.

Does the 6th character in my VIN represent the model year?

I believe so but I am not positive. Mine is a 2 in mine and it's a 62.

No, it means that it was the 372,135 vehicle produced. By this number it was manufactured in January of 1963.
Total vin numbers for the 63 model year October of 62 through September of 63.
340,000 to 459,999
Consectuive unit numbers started with 100,001 in October of 60 for the 61 to 66 F series trucks.
