Question Key switch replacement.

Hey Guy's , I've got to change the key switch in my buddies truck, Anyone have any idea on how to deactivate the airbag so it don't deploy while I'm removing the steering wheel ?

you do not remove the steering wheel to remove the key switch.

disconnect the battery, move the key to run, insert 1/8" drill in hole below the switcvh, push button with drill remove, install, turn key off, batt. reconnect.

you do not have to remove the steering wheel!

after 5 minutes the capacitor is dead, really 2 but i like to wait.

but it does not matter here.

I'm pretty sure he was responding to my post while you posted, so he probably hadn't seen yours yet.
