just wondering who is running purple hornies and how do you like them? and, are they going to be loud with 2 1/4" pipes turning out just in front of the rear wheels? i just ordered a pair to go on my new headers. 360 engine

If you got the hornies that bolt up to the headers. Cancel that order. I had a set of them and had to beat the hell out of them to get the to lay between the transmissiom cross member and the cab floor. Get you a set that slip on both ends and install them behind the cross member. I'm telling you this for the troubles that I had with mine. Hope this helps you out some. Tony

i got the slip fit, already had to beat the pipe flat that connects to the headers. thats one of the reasons i ordered an exhaust with a flex joint that connects to the headers.

I am running two Purple Hornies on my 79 with a 380hp 400 and headers. It is pretty loud. I set off car alarms daily driving down the street. I have only been pulled over once for sound laws. Just be prepared for volume. You will never sneak up on anyone again.
