Folding Truck Camper

I have an 05 FX4 w/ a 5.5' bed. I'm thinking about getting a folding truck camper.
Does anyone have one have any pros or cons about these campers?
Will I have any issues finding one due to the bed length?

Thank you

Are you talking about the slide-in campers or the In-bed Pop up tents?

..Or the combination Slide-in with a slide or tent option?

I'm talking about the slide in campers that expand upwards.

Sorry about the confusion.

If you can find one that fits a 6.5' bed, I would think the 5.5' would carry it. But most of the pop-up slide-ins I have seen are 8' long, even on the short 6.5' trucks, so that would probably be too long for the 5.5' bed. If you do find one, some type of helper spring (air or add-a-leaf) would be helpfull considering the short wheelbase.

four wheel campers does make them. I believe the ford ranger size will fit in the flareside bed.
