Marty, I'll go out there and try Joe's WHACKIT! method.. I'll PM you. You can have the bracket. Just cover UPS. I'm in Florida too.

Well, I think Henry must have personally overseen this spot welding job, cuz these babies were on there!! It took a large ball peen hammer and a large chisel, but we gotterdun.

Wow, yours had 4 spot welds. Everyone I've ever had only had 2. Guess that's why mine have come off pretty easy with a hammer.

Thanks for the offer! My 56 is pretty solid, it was pretty much just missing that bracket. I was having a problem with the fenders and hood aligning-PO took out adjustment rods, maybe cause it'd draw attention to the missing bracket. I was green to these trucks when I got it so now I know better, and plenty thanks to those who helped me in these forums...

Now that I'm about to paint it, I'll be able to align everything.

Do you have the rods? Mine were MIA so I picked up a used set on U-pay for 10.00, but now I'm going to need to fab some new longer ones so I don't really need these.
