'48-'50 IFS/Subframe/etc Question

When you guys have put in an IFS, M2, or other subframe, did you change your axle centerline? If so, how much?

I know some of you probably did a lot of trial and error to get the wheels/tires sitting where you wanted, but I'm just looking for a general idea here.

Thanks

When I did my AOD to Explorer diff I offset the drive shaft about 2" to passenger side. I needed clearance for steering.
I used MII IFS: mounted as per manufacturer dead centre in frame; adjusted anti dive based on drop of front end.

You need to be concerned with changing the axle centerline only on the 53-56 trucks...not necessary on 48-52 trucks. I used the original axle centerline to install the Volare in my 48 F-3. I also offset my engine and transmission two inches to the right to get more room at the steering box as Tom did...

Is there any place you can order motor mounts that are made to off set the motor. Or did you have to make them yourself.

No-Limit Engineering offers offset engine AND transmission mounts. I got mine there for my 350/350 with Volare suspension...however, I made my own left side mount as I was never able to understand how to put the left side mount together (a four piece puzzle).
