no the bottom looks fine just the top i'll try and load a pic of the turbo tommorow i hope it can be fixed without and engine rebuild there ain't no telling what the could cost
a good look at the turbo helps but a crankcase pressure test or a compression test will tell the story. does the truck run good? does it smoke from the tail pipe?
i have replaced dusted and damaged turbos on many trucks and had them run just fine, unless his is completly destroyed then odds are his engine will live to fight another day
the truck don't smoke at all and i think it still has a decent amout of power the boost doesn't really start coming on strong until like 2000 rpms... if i do go to ron the turbo guy he has 2 different turbo's one is stock the other has a banks compressor wheel and i think a 1.0 a/h anyone have and experience with the banks wheel?
the banks wheel i always though was our stock wheel, but the 1.0 housing will spool faster and have higher boost but isnt the best choice for the long run if you plan on doing a lot of mods to your truck, if you plan on sticking with stock injectors but play with chips and other do-dads then the 1.0 turbo would be a great choice
