Question Mpg

Just got a '47 COE and although the flathead V8 gets me up & down the blvd. I'm thinking of either rebuilding it or putting in a late model 302 or 460. A fast vehicle is of no interest to me, infact my friends says I should be driving Ms Daisy with an orange triangle on my butt.

I figure if the flathead (with like 100 hp) will get me moving, anything late model will be fine. Question is; what kinda of MPG should I expect with a 302 or 460 with a AOD trans?

Thanks for your input.

Depends on your setup and weight. You could get anywhere from 6-24 mpg.
