I have carpet delete on my 1999 F250 XLT SD and some brainiac previous to me wanted to make the vynil "look good" so used ArmorAll on the entire mat. I tried to get rid of the slick stuff and got most but still slide all over in damp weather and slide on the clutch/brake pedals.. I did the best I could and then added rubber floor mats but they slid all over too so I had to use small screw to hold things together.
My question is, I've tried several cleaners to try and get rid of the slickness but don't seem to get it all. Any ideas 'bout a cleaner that will remove ALL traces of the Armorall? I really like the carpet delete but not the skating rink. Help.
Thanks

You may want to post some of the stuff youve already used so others dont suggest what youve tried.
My first suggestion is simple green and a brush. Scrub away.
I hate it for ya though. That goober juice is a pain to get rid of.
I will be ripping the carpet out of my 99 and replacing it with vinyl. I had the vinyl floors in my 1980 F-100 and loved it. When it came time to clean it.. I used Comet and a scrubbing brush, that or simple green should get rid of the armour all.
My (new to me) 05 has the carpet delete. Has anyone found a floormat that will stay put on it? With winter coming, I'm thinking a little more insulation on the floor will help my feet stay warmer.
Ya, ArmorAll is crap, I have never used on any vehicle and never will. If you ever stop using it on your truck or car I have seen it eat right through the dash board.
a little bit of simple green as mentioned above, a good scrub brush and lots of water. use the hose to rinse the vinyl liner off. remember, you can spray the inside floor of that truck with no ill effects.

I don't think that is entirely true. I believe there is still insulation underneath the rubber flooring that can get wet if you spray too much water in there or let it sit too long. If it gets wet it can start to mold and mildew. At least that is what happened in my old bronco.
i was only going on my last '99 superduty that had the vinyl floor. the only thing under the vinyl on that truck were a few drain holes. i used to hose it out regularly with no problems what so ever.
Cool, I guess they started realizing that people would do that and quit putting the insulation under there (I was going off of an older Ford truck). Good to know.

Where did you get or where are you getting the vinyl flooring from. The guy that owned my truck before me must of hated blue ink pens because he dumped all of the ink in the carpet. I like the look of vinyl better and it's alot easier to keep clean.
