Ok guys, i have an 01 F250 with the mighty v10. I drove it to the Ford dealership just to look around, and i got back into the truck to leave, turned the key, and nothing. I figured my battery died somehow. I tried to get a jump from another car, and from a jumpbox, no luck. bought a new battery, and nothing. i touched a screwdriver from the pos to the neg terminal on the solenoid to see if i could get the starter to turn over, no luck. took the starter to discount auto parts to be tested and it tested fine. im kind of out of ideas, ive checked all my fuses, both under the hood and under the dash. Someone mentioned that it could be an inline fuse somewhere, but i just figured id check here for suggestions. when i connect the battery, there is power to the truck, but as soon as i put the key in the ignition and turn it, power shuts off, not even enough power to turn the radio on or put the windows down. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!
thanks for all the suggestions everyone! yeah, the pissed off truck was my first theory, but i wouldnt think it would hold a grudge this long....unless of course its a woman! anyway, i was gonna try the cable thing and maybe the selenoid tomorrow. Once again, thanks for all the suggestions!!

I agree with the cable and/or some other grounding point.
Those OEM clamps can crack sometimes and not be visibly bad. The connector bolt for the clamps can also get corroded and fail.
Hope you find the problem and fix it pronto!
And, welcome to FTE!
this may sound goofy, but what oem clamps and bolt are you talkin about? im still not having any luck. today i changed out the ignition key lock cylinder, still no luck. when i was putting the stock one back in, i plugged it in but didnt have it bolted in yet, and i got power to the truck. the truck still didnt want to start, but at least i got power to the truck, ie, the radio came on, i could put windows up and down, all that good stuff. any new ideas?
