Hi Mike you don't have to email me anything I got everything I need . Your frame is the same frame I have in my 50f1. Have only one Question when You cut and bent your frame for the back did it change the center of the bolt that hangs down from 14 1/2 inches.

Rusty, I solved the angle problem a little different than Mike did. I made a steel wedge that sits between the bottom of the frame rail and the rear Jag soft mount. You can see a little of it in my gallery. Either method will work well. Mike had a nice way to change the angle.
I think that you will find that there is essentially no difference in position doing it the way that Mike did it.

Hey 48, that's one fine job! You did an excellent job on the fit and finish on all that IFS install. It's so cool to have a site like this to look at and get ideas.I had no idea that the Jag front end looked like that!! It looks really cool it looks like it has tubular upper control arms and everything!! Did the rear steer rack cause any problems or was it better that way?

Later and keep on truckin

Very nice job on documenting the steps you took. I'm about to do the same with my 54 so this was very good timing and it gave me some good ideas as well. Nice Job!

IMHO the A arms are a step above tubular, they are forged. The rear rack (actually the pinion and steering shaft) can cause tight fits with some engine/exhaust headers or manifolds (see my gallery). Rear dump left side manifolds either ford or chxxy work the best. For some combinations it can be desirable to shift the engine slightly to the passangers side to get steering clearance (like the volare guys do). Whatever you do, do a complete (with manifolds) fitup prior to final mounting your engine of choice,

Mike, looks great. In my case I went with the tapered shim for the rear mount, similiar to Willards. I wanted to do a bolt on install so my set up is slightly different, but both will work just fine. -Rusty

I got mine in today. All I like is the front gussets. Should get them in tomorrow. I went with the shims on the front bolts (I don't trust my welding skills yet.) like rhopper did. So far it's lookin good.

Great job fellows. I'm new here and I have a 55 F100 and was planning to do the same. Are the frame dimemsions the same on a F1 and a F100? I want to do my the same way as you have. Never thought of the Lincoln rear end, I was going to use the Jag rear end. They are very plentyfull here.
