This was the only DTC that was thrown on my truck. Lately I have seen a 2-2.3 mpg decrease in fuel efficiency so I was curious if any codes showed anything.
I was quoting from the 6.0 bible, but I believe electrical noise to a computer would be similar to static you might hear in a pair of earphones. In other words, the computer isn't hearing what the sensor is saying either due to a bad connection or a bad sensor. I'm no electrical expert--LOL--but I'd clean the connection, clear the code, and see if the DTC returns before replacing the sensor. I haven't even heard of a CMP sensor going bad on a 6.0 yet, although they are very common on the 7.3's.
I wasnt being a DA afterall - i thought that was what you were referring to but I wanted to make sure. another 87K to go before I am more tech oriented on the 6.0
