Had the old leak again on the hpop. Took it and the fuel filter off and fixed it put it back together, filled the hpop reservoir and fuel filter. Now she turns over and will not fire off. I have an engine temp light and fuel filter light on while she's turning over, can't remember if that was there before. I did crack hpop lines and bleed them and fuel lines, should I? Where? WON"T CRANK! Have not put a gauge on fuel pressure yet.
LIke how much? I have been cranking it over on and off for a couple days. I have done this before and it cranked after a few times. This is not like the last time.
did you plug everything back in like the ipr? if you missed it or got a bad connection it wont fire. does the truck smoke while cranking? if not you have no fuel going into the motor. is there fuel in the housing? is the oil resevoir still full?
The reservoir is staying full, it is not smoking, And I've doubled and triple checked all the connections. It about has to be a bad connection? The ipr valve is a year old. I just simply pulled everything off and stuck it back on. Now the connection on the ipr I have in the down position I think it used to be up, but that shouldn't matter.? It is going to be difficult to flip that over now. Or am I going in the wrong direction? It may be fuel, I do have 50 psi at the filter. It steps up in 5-10 psi increments as the motor turns over, is that right?
typicaly you only get 15 to 20 psi while cranking, i would imagine that yours continues to climb because the injectors are not firing, did you cut the ipr o-rings on install perhaps?
air in the lines is no problem, it is a self priming system you dont have to bleed fuel or oi llines, just crank it, sometimes it will take a good 3-5 minutes to purge all air from it to fire, depending on how much got into the heads, there is no way for you to manually bleed all of that, i am going with action with either a poped fuse or a wire issue
I had some of these same symptons and I need to recharge the batteries. I had enough power to turn the engine but not enough to get them to fire. Just an option to look at. I cant explain why it worked for me, but it did. Good luck
geuss off to ford i go. I have 12v at ipr, i have fuel, I have oil,(not sure what psi). I charged the batts for a while, nothing. Checked all fuses and wiring, cleaned all connections.
Have a buddy jump start your truck. Your batteries are probably drained down. I think you can unplug the ICP and try and fire it up. If it fires off then I believe that means the IPR is bad.
