air compressor install question
Does any one know what it would take to install an engine driven air compressor? Any good places to get a mount that fits where one of the alternators goes? Besides a mount, idler pully and a new belt is there anything else I need?

There was a feature of a air compressor installation on a Duramax in 6/2007 Diesel Power. The company is www.kilbyenterprises.com ... I checked the site, it mentions nothing of powerstrokes but i would sure give them a call.

Look for a York 210 compressor, you can find them in 1980s Volvos, 70-90 Fords and Jeeps. Ive been looking at my local junk yards for a while with no luck. I want to move my alternator to the bottom mount, and put the york on its side where the alternator is right now. Your gonna have to fab your own bracket, just a metal plate with the holes in the right places if you mount it like I wrote above. The york comes with an 8 groove belt like our trucks have already if im not mistaken.
