Installed franz Filter

Installed a Franz filter today, I got my inspiration from TJ (no pun intended Fisher of Men ) Check out his links for more info. Install went well fairly quick, I pulled the plugs off the truck and ran to the parts store with them and the filter in hand, then matched my parts in the store, Both the truck and the filter fittings were pipe, and I converted to JIC for ease of install. I used 5 ft of 3000 psi 1/4" single wire hydralic hose I know I am risking a blow out from pressure but call me a risk taker. The first pic is oil from before and after, the after is on top, it is significantly cleaner looking, the pic doesn't do justice, but after 1000 miles I am going to send in the before and after oil samples to blackstone and compare, until then the jury is still out.

I purchased the parts retail price, 165 shipped for the filter, bracket and 4 extra elements (comes in handy for unplanned bathroom breaks on the side of the road ) 44 dollars for the hoses and fittings. 209 total. PM me if you want my filter contact, she will give us a 10 dollar discount.

I wouldn't think that 3000psi would be a risk considering your only working with probably 60psi.I suppose with the heat factor but that should be part of the rating calculations
