Slip Joint Grease?
Does one have to use the Ford grease to do the slip joint (driveline) or will Napa standard in the bucket Lithium grease work. Im sure either will do more than whats there now but i dont want to have any issues later from not using the ford stuff unless i have to

Is there a ford part number? That would be the easiest place to get it i think.

there is no replacement for the ford ptfe. i tried everything but the ford stuff in my f150 and nothing compared to ford's ptfe for how long it lasted. it's expensive stuff but worth every penny.

someone makes it for Ford. Just like BRP's fancy, expensive semi synthetic 2 stroke injector oil...that's made by Castrol and about 60% less if you buy the Castrol branded oil.

Just bought a tube yesterday. That little three oz tube is costly, but when I get rid of my "clunk" next week it will be worth it.

I used the Ford PTFE grease three years ago - no clunk yet.
I've heard other people do it with other grease and they say it lasts a month or so...
I bought an open can of the XG8 stuff from a Ford dealer, and they gave me a good price on it.
They had no idea what it was, but they used it "once" on something but never again...
Ford also says to use it on the tailgate when it squeeks going down the road
