5.0 flywheel weight
I am putting a 5.0 out of a 89 towncar in my 66 f100. Considering changing to a 5 spd when I do this. What weight fly wheel do I need and what is the year breakdown for the various fly wheels available? I found one for an '84 model 302 in a pickup but not sure if it will work on my '89 engine.

The 84 wheel will work, provided it's the right diameter. There were two tooth-count flywheels for 302's for all but the Mustang II's-------157 tooth and 164 tooth. You Need a 50 oz/in balance wheel. The changeover from the 28 oz/in was sometime around 81-82, not even Ford knows the exact date it was made. If in doubt of what you have, if you have a known weight wheel of either diameter, you can compare the size of the counterweight, but the diameter must match of the two you're comparing. In otherwords, for the two different weights, there will be four different sizes of counterweights.
