Want to add a leveling kit, F350 blocks, new 17 or 18" wheels and 285s or 315s.
1 - What type of leveling kit do you recommend? Shocks?
2 - Installing F350 blocks - is it safe? What part #s do I need to order?
3 - What type of tires do you recommend? (All terrains)
4 - Any pics of this setup on your rigs...please share!
hey man i had a leveling kit on mine, it was a 2005 i put 35 inch Xtreme At, they are procomp..loved it but needed to go bigger so went with a 6 inch haha, but ya its cool, as far as the type of kit, not sure what its called i just got it at 4wheel parts, in fact i still have the blocks and shocks sitting in my garage.
Most of the leveling kits are similar for the 05's - some are made of billet alum...others of steel, beware of any that are not made of those two materials...shocks are the big difference - if I had the cash, I would've went with the DR setup, but it's pricey compared to some others...
Since you have a 250, you will have to put on the 350 blocks, unless of course you like the nose up look...Here's a pic of my 350 with leveling kit and 35's on 20 inch wheels....
what do you mean when you refer to "if i had the money i would've went wtih the DR setup? What is the DR setup?
i'm also looking to do a 2.5" leveling kit and was looking into the one by skyjacker with the replacement coil springs and add-a-leaf for the rear. looks like about $330.00 with shipping.
I'm assuming that I'd need to do an alignment after installation as well.

Reason: typo
I went with the 2.5 up front and 350 blocks in the rear. Take a look in my gallery to see what it will look like. I am running Mickey Thompson 325/60/18 which measure about 33.5 inches. Although when I first got the truck it had 35" BFGS on her which you can see in my first pics.
Yes, I installed F-250 blocks so it's level. Don't know.
Toyo or BFG.
Alrighty!
Each Super Duty can be slightly different so you won't know how your truck will look and it's 'stance' until the leveling kit is installed. The rear on mine was too high for my taste so we installed the F-250 blocks. I'm keeping the originals though. A few more pics are in my Gallery.
Reave 1.........how wide are your 18" rims? And your current tires are 35" right? Any rubbing with that tire/rim set up and only 2.5" of lift? By the way, the truck does look decent.
