2007 Fx2
Have 2007 FX2 with factory 20 inch rims with Perelli 265 65R 20 inch Scorpions...need winter tire and thinking abour BF Goodrich T/A KO 285 65R 20....Perellis overall diameter is 31.7...T/A KO is 34.7...will these tires fit the stock truck...only other size in T/A KO is a 55 series in a 33.4....I am trying to avoid changing rims to 18 inch....there does not seem to be much out there in a 18 inch snow tire in 265 65R 18 What are all you snow belt people using? I here 17 inch rims will not clear brakes on these trucks. Thanks

well, unless you changed tires, you have the wrong size indicated. all the Ford 20's come with 275/55/20 tires. The Ford 18's come in 265/60/18 for 4x2's and 275/65/18 for 4x4's. And the XL, STX, and XLT's come standard with 17" wheels, so there are no brake clearance issues if you run the factory 17's. But I have read online that there are some clearance issues with certain aftermarket 17's rims.
I don't run snow tires so I can't help you there. But if you want to drop down to 17's for winter, I'm sure there's more snow tire selections in that size and just pick up some factory 17's (like on ebay or something) and you'll be fine.

Go to WWW.TireRack.com and compare the Perelli Scorpions with the BF Goodrich you are looking at...The Perellies outperform the BF Goodrich in all categories involving traction on snow and ice. I have the Perellies on my 07 Scab 4X4 and live in Maine. I will follow the reviews and give them a try before investing in anything else for the moment.
