I did the coonhunterjoe's shift kit a few days ago and really havn't driven my truck for a while. I checked the fluid and it was barely on the stick.
What drive selection should i have the shifter in when checking it? Should it be in P or in N?

thanks.
Any tips for adding to it to keep the fluid that is in the dipstick tube from showing up on the stick? it takes forever to add and let it all drain down so that it doesnt get on the stick on the way in and out of the pan.
the part that sucks the most is getting the fluid that hasnt drained down the whole way showing on the stick. But maybe thats why ford used the dimples maybe the fluid that touches the dip stick doenst touch the dimples?
I had the same problem and ended up checking it and driving over the course of 3 days I was finaly able to satisfy myself . It will definatly show in the dimples when it is at that level.
