nah just wondering........was just shocking that boy got killed by he's freaking own dog.......i say if i would had been there i would had tried to open the dogs jaws up even if i ripped them apart and get the kid off the dog and smash the dog after...hopefully not biting me but worth a try?
More people are maimed or killed by their OWN dog than any other animal.
I've owned only pitbulls since I gave up yellow labs...and yes some are very ugly...like the one I have now, but the wife and kids thought she was cute.
But know that I have had pitbulls since before most people had even heard of them...we used to use them for hunting...the one now is just a pet.
small children, elderly, local house cats, and anything generally too slow to move to fast...but SERIOUSLY: we hunt wild boar using pitbulls...or I used to..where I hunt now we don't need dogs, which is good because I don't have to transport dogs, vests, and dog first aid kits!...it is however missed when we get in a situation where we need the dogs to rescue us as that has happened several times.
it is too bad, people are just as bad as the dogs, raise them right, stop the inbreeding, i am typing this with my left hand because i broke my right hand on my neighbors face after his shar-pei bit my kid, i tried shooting him , but he ran the dog in the house, i put the shotgun down and this ******* gets brave puts his hands on me and acts like my kid is to blame, well 1 right hand later he is laying on his back gazing into la la land, going to court nov.13, my kid got 5 stitches in her chest , suing the pants off this idiot, ironic twist i own 2 pit bulls and have a large tattoo of a pit,
wow so sorry for you pal....i'd beat the crap out of him too for the dog bitting any of my childs........inresponsible dumb *** thats wut he is....i keep my dogs locked in backyard always....i have a pug and a rottweiler........i dont even let me kids go near them untill i get home.....dogs are just dumb and might do a dumb thing.....
Raise a pit right and its just as loving as any "regular" dog, we've had two over the years who lived long healthy lives and never maimed or killed anyone.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, our first pit was a albino with red eyes, he looked like a demon but he was a sissy boy. He'd cry and whimper when it thundered. He lived peacefully along side two cats and a wiener dog, although they were a tenth his size he never harmed them.
Our second pit was a little more hyper, she'd bark and jump at the door but after she sniffed ya she'd go on her merry way.
One thing I noticed with pits is they get antsy if they cant burn some energy, we had both of ours when we lived in our old farm house, they had plenty of room to run around and just be dogs. A family friend ended up adopting our little female when we moved into town, we knew she'd go nuts in a small yard and we wouldn't have as much time to pay her attention, so we left her with a loving friend. She just turned 15 in june, and he says he couldn't ask for a better dog, she's mellowed out big time over the years.
We loved our pits and treated them like the family members they were, over the years we've also had a couple Boxers, Labs, and a beagle. They were all great dogs because we raised them right. Put a well trained big dog next to a little ankle bitting piece of crap and tell me who has the attitude problem.
