I have a 360 that rattles under load. What I mean by that is that when it is in 2nd or 3rd and low RPMs, when accelerating, it sounds like the top end is rattling. Think it is either 1) lifter sticking or 2) loose rocker arms. Any help would be appreciated. I am planning on pulling the heads and replacing the springs and seals and inspecting the system, so if someone would be able to help me id this noise, again, much appreciated. (if it is just adjusting the rockers, I might not yank the heads).
Thanks
Jim

360 with mild mods (was told when I bought the truck it was a 460!)
C6 that will 'bout throw your head into the bed!
Are you sure it's not spark knock (detonation)? If it happens under load at low rpm that would be my guess. 2 solutions I can think of:
1. Retard the timing until it doesn't knock.
OR
2. Downshift.
