This is my 351 Windsor that Ive been building over the past few weeks. Its got an Edelbrock Performer RPM cam kit with High Rev lifters, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Edelbrock Peformer Carb, Ported Heads, Crane Roller Rockers, and adjustable stud conversion kit, Aluminum Hypereutectic Pistons (.30 over), raised the compression from 8.5:1 (stock ratio) to 9.6:1, Scat Connecting rods, Clevite 77 bearings all around, Crank turned .10 under, and Rods were resized for crank. Performance in the truck is, MSD components, Hooker Super Comp Headers, True Dual 40 series Flowmasters 2.5" tubing, and Electric exhaust cutouts! Heres the progress as far as visually goes! Tell me what you think!
nice garage.....lol. funny how i see that just as much as i see that bitchin mill. garages are not the norm around here, wish i had one. by the way, i'll trade ya my 400 for that windsor anyday
CHEVY ORANGE?!?!?!?! That's a good looking engine, but does it have to be Chevy orange??
Just kidding guy. There's nothing like looking at your engine all nice and shiny just before you put it back in the truck. I drooled all over my 460 for a week before I put it back in Hoss.
Keep up the good work.
Hahaha yea I like the look of the engine so much! Ill ad some new photos once the timing cover, pump and oil pan are back on. Actually its NOTTTTT Chevy orange...But its close. Should be back in the truck this friday! Hopefully a drive this weekend is in order.
If you don't, it's like a reciever running 99 yards and just stopping and going back to his seat on the bench. You spent money on the engine, money on the paint and time to do it all, so don't just stop now.
Do like the Rolling Stones said and Paint it Black!!

Damn u are right! I already spent that much on it. Why stop there! Im still waiting on the HV oil pump so I can put the pan back on.
Ok guys! ITS IN! It took about a day but its all in! and sadley I cant find out how it runs for a few days..... The machinist who did my engine forgot to give back the threaded stub for the oil filter. So little hard to put it on without that. Heres what she looks like as of now. Dizzy is just set in to make it look pretty, its getting primed before fire! The motor is still a little crusty but the paint is nice! Headers need to be cleaned and the rest of engine bay. Ill put pics when its ALL said and done. I also learned somthing that made me very happy a few days ago! my motor has a stroker crank in it! 3.75 stroke and a 4.030 bore. that gets me to 383 cubes!
ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!! Fired first turn! ran for 25min at 2300rpm and its got a couple bugs in it but NO leaks first try! 65lbs oil oil pressure at 2000rpm! seems a little high to me but oil pressure is a good thing. and at 205 degrees the whole way! Its got a couple noisy lifters so I need to crank down on the roller rockers adjustment screws. How long does it take before I can drive it?
