Well the tire proved to be weak, but strong enough to demolish the side of my box!! All I have left is the driver side doors and front fender and I will have replaced every panel on the pickup. I never thought I would be able to say that!!
Mudmaker is this not the first time this has happened to you? From what you are saying it sounds like that.

I've had blowouts like that as well on my previous trailer. I had to rebuild the whole fenderwell.
This is the first tire blowout on my pickup. A guy t-boned me a couple of years ago and wiped out the passenger side. Last winter I drug a trailer down the side and ripped a hole in the passenger box side. (that one was my fault). At least I know a good body shop! LOL
I was driving down the interstate and the tread completely separtated. It looked like a recap comming off. The tires had just over 40000 miles on them with decent tread. I was planning on replacing them before the snow flys.
