do yall think 305/70s will fit ok. i have 285/75s now and looks like i have plenty o room left. id really like 315/75s. this is the look im going for, I like the way these tires look on this truck. nothin too big just stick out a bit and fill the fenders nicely. i dunno if mine sets any higher than most cause its the 4x4 off road or not?
p.s i also want one of those bumpers if anyone knows where one is at. warn does not make them anymore.
an all stock 250 is goign to probably rub, a 350 would go right on, my 265 75 16's were really close on the stocker, to be well proportioned on a 250 305\70\16's need a 4 inch lift and 315\75\16's need a 6 inch,
can you load a pick of your truck now?
oh and that picture looks like an f-350 with a 4 inch lift and 35's (315\75\16)
You're right Coon. I have mine lifted 6" and it sits on 35s. With a little trimming, 37s would probably fit, but with probable rubbing issues. The biggest rubbing issue now seems to be the lack of space between the inside wall of the tires and the springs. Wider wheels perhaps?
the 315's will fit with a 3 inch body lift, the pic i have of my truck on a car had a 3 inch body lift sitting on the 315 mud terrains, the bumper shimmed foreward 3\4 of an inch. the only reason that worked was the severe limitation of front end travel of the stock springs. for daily driving it looked good, still had a little bit of room in the wells, but it wasnt the best offroader, however i was able to keep up witha 76 highboy running 38.5 susper swampers for a whole weekend of fun,
looks like you have a leveling kit up front, 305's are a hair taller than the 285's and a bit wider, i think with what you have right now they would work but rub the bumper, it would have to be shimmed out. i dont think 305's would work if you went as light as field hopping offroad, i think they would hit the bumper (even shimmed) and possible the fender if articulated. the truck looks really good the way it sits right now, if you want bigger tires i really think you should get a good lift kit to accomodate them
Bite the bullet and go with a lift. Avoid the blocks, even though they are cheap they kind of defeat one of the real reasons to lift a truck. It hurts the pocket for a little bit, but the outcome is more than worth it. Especially when you get to pull out a chevy or dodge.
Nice. I got family in Mercersburg, PA that are the same way. I have the Superlift on mine, managed pretty well in the mountains of Colorado pretty well this past summer.
