CCV Mod
Just finished the ccv mod on my early 99 7.3PSD. Very easy installation once I gathered the parts. I saw the kits for sale around $59.99 + shipping. I completed mine for $35.24.
After reading some of the great posts here I elected to go with the clear vinyl rubber hose. I went to 6 different muffler shops for a piece of scrap 4" exhaust pipe.....none available. I ended up using a piece of 4" aluminum stock.
perfect fit. My mod also included new "o" rings for the dog house.
I went to Home depot for the hose.......I was going to get hosed! 10' was 27.99!.....I went elsewere. Picked up 16' for $16.16. The job would have been cheaper if I didn't need a bag of tie-wraps $7.17.
All and all I'm happy with the results and the vapors are very, very white coming out of the end. 184,000 miles. Thanks for all the posts on this mod.
