of my F350 Crew Cab LWB 4X4 that says it has a 38 gallon tank having only a 32 gallon tank??? Went and filled up for the first time, after the tank full that the dealer gave me, and I could only get a little bit over 32 gallons in it. I know about the foaming causing the pump to cut off but I sat there and waited for the fuel to settle down and it still wouldn't take any more fuel. If it is a smaller tank then all of the numbers for mileage on the message center will be off by 6 gallons.

That is intresting, i wondered the same thing. I have heard of a few members harponing the tank to get the full amount of fuel without having the problem you are.

I harpooned my 02 but haven't heard of anyone doing it to an 08. I had around 40 miles left going by the message center and with an average of 13.7 mpg's from what the message center say, that would have left me with 3 gallons in the tank. Add the 32 that I filled up to that amount and I get 35. I guess maybe it does "pop" soon without it being harpooned.
This weekend I ran it 98 miles past 0 to Empty and only put 25.2 gallons in a 29 gallon tank.
Sounds like my deal. On that link there is another link to where a guy did the "Harpoon" mod on his 08 and he says it's the same as the old trucks. Looks like my first mod will be this one.
