Tranny Question
I know most go to a BTS when thier stock one goes south, i was wondering if anyone has any opinions on rebuilding their tranny with better TC, pump, VB and other goodies.
Im curious because i cant tell if its slipping under a BIG load or not, under normal conditions it works great, tonight i jumped all over it going around a corner and i couldnt feel or hear my 37s burnin pavement but my rpms seemed to jump up earlier than usual like it slipped in 2nd gear.
I suppose i should ask what are the symptoms of a slipping TC?
And/Or can anyone on here with moderate mods burn down 37s with 3.73 gears while rolling

The center support can cause issues, the updated part is a roller part instead of bushings. Haven't heard much abou the case being the weak point.
There are several upgrades you must do. Not sure about the newer 4r100's with the mechanical diode setup, but the older ones you want to update the sprags, get the improved clutch material and increase the number of clutches. I would also recommend a new ford HD pump. There are some hard parts to upgrade on different years as well, but that applies mostly to the older ones. There are billet parts and hardened shafts but depending on powerlevels not sure how much they are really worth doing. THe biggest thing is to get the better clutch packs installed and a reprogramming kit for the valve body and accumulator pack. Also get a new solenoid pack.
