loose gearshift
I have a 2001 F-350 superduty. Went in t he house for a minute and came back out to start the truck an nothing. Lifted up on the gear shift and the truck started. is there any way to tighten this up or am I going to have to live with it. All the dash lights and the annoying dinger worked the truck just would not start until I lifted the gearshift lever upwards.

did that fix it? I just checked mine out i have had this problem and posted before but i couldn't find the screws/bots. But the page with the pic helped alot. I screwed out the upper one by my fingers. I tightened it up and its fixed 
Mine was loose enough that i couldnt get it into manual 1. I havn't taken it for a drive but i bet it will be fine now.
