A while back I posted that my truck would somtimes act like it was running out of gas however I would have plenty of fuel in the tank.... I tried everything I thought it might be vapor lock.... Fuel pump...collapsed line but no after every time I tried somthing it would eventually happen again. Well yesterday I took the sending unit out (1973 Hi boy in cab tank) and looked in with a flashlght, at first I didnt see anything.. I diconnected the fule line and blew air threw looked agfain and there it was... a cardbord top from some sort of additive (dry gas or somthing) I fished it out and didnt have a problem all day yesterday...I think I got it!
put that top in a jar of gas and see if it floats or sinks then compare that to when you had your problem. If it floats did you have the problem when you were low on gas.If it sinks it would happen all the time.
