I've decided to put headers on my truck with the overhaul ('76 150 4x4). I'm not finding many options for the FE. If anyone can recomend something for my 390, I would apprectiate it. I'v found that Dynomax offers 2 types. The standard series and the cerama-coat. Is it worth paying the extra $100 for the cerama-coat?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Dec-02 AT 00:40 AM (EST)]RE: Cerma Coat. I feel yes it is. I had standard aluminized for 7-8 years of summer only driving and they looked horrid. And they put out more engine room heat. If you follow some old threads you can see some very strong Negatives on Dyno"Junk" Headers, and I am on that list! I have a brand new set setting in the bed of truck right now that wont seal - they either aren't for a 390 (Bolted up OK) or so poorly made, the header ports are way smaller than head ports. But once again all the bolt holes matched up. I'm now going to try Sandersons. I had never heard of Stans till jus tnow. Good Luck- Headers are a must for serious 390 power.
