I would take it back and get the one that doesn't have the switch (push/pull),just a dial. As for which of tne three terminals if the shaft is pointed at you it will be the center&right one for a clockwise rotation to increase resistence .Solder wires into terminals then run them out to icp & splice into harness just as c00n's photo. 16-18 guage wire is easist to use. Hope that's clear.
BTW switch on the one you have is for on/off like older tv's had-on/off& volume one ****.
definatly dont want the on-off switch when it is wired inline, thats a guranteed check engine ligth and stall, you would be turning the icp signal off going to the pcm, that wouldnt be good, all you need is a 3 prong potentiometer, you can wire it 2 ways, turn right to raise resistance, or turn right to lower,, i would wire it turn right to raise as that wil be turning up the power
I missed the 200volt part dbl check resistence make sure it is only 10kpotentiometer that one might be 100k.I know they have them you only need one for .5watt.
Ok, thanks, I checked it and is 10K. I was thinking if it is in the off position it could be against steal (robbery), that could be a good idea? or it could screw something (like PCM)? whats your opinion. Maybe I should buy only one with the dial.
i think you will find that when you pu**** to off you will lose the circuit, definatly dont want that, if you can wire it so that is unaffected by the on-off feature then it will work fine,
no luck on the mods tonight, got sidetracked as usual, too much goin on here still, didnt even get to change the oil again.....the hood was up at least tonite....so close
