Question cab lights

HI guys

I have an 06 f350 and wanted to put cab lights on but have a sunroof and the dealership said that there is 2or 3 inches of calking above the headliner that would have to be scaped out is that there for sound proofing or a screww up from the factory when the put the sunroof in.

I voted for the 3rd. ITS A RACE!

ON topic... 2-3" of caulking? That seems a bit much as the cab lights arent that far back. I dunno. Maybe someone can post up some pics of their cab lights who also have a moonroof.

I think there is a stick on soundproofing type tape. Would be about 2 or 3 inches wide with a sunroof. Dunno why they don't just drill through it.

I had a hard time deciding, but in the end I agree with Riggz the most on number 3. Plus you can't say no to italic print. Were just having fun WLDCD. I have not done a pool yet, and I'm sure when I do it will be messed up somehow. I always liked the visor look on my 92-97 OBS trucks, and I'm sure it would look good on the SD as well.

That's just a problem caused by the installer. There are lots of us who have installed them w/ no leaks. Maybe they drilled the holes to large or didn't tighten them down enough. I didn't use any silicon and haven't had a leak yet.

Did you still need pictures? My truck has the factory fog lights and moonroof and I would be willing to take some pics if you still need them. I was away from the computer for the weekend or I would have responded sooner.
