Excursion Meet Poll 3 - Narrowing it down
Not sure I would be able to make it back out there as we are heading the other direction this year...Grand Canyon, Hoover dam, Vegas, Bryce, Zion, Arches, DENVER and then home...so ROCKIES this year tugging the TT!!!...BUT...I could always be persuaded to go 4 wheeling!!!
If we had the $$ I'd follow you out there. That would be sight - 2 X's in convoy with TT's in tow...
This pic was when I had my F150 and we went to OBX - the wife loved it, she got to lay topless because there was no one w/in about 1/4 each direction.
Yeah my girls are older (8 and 10) this year...and they travel very nicely in the bus...I always keep the third row IN USE so each kid has their own row...it really cuts down on the interior chatter. Plus they each have their own private dvd player, game boy (new DS's for Christmas are coming), and 'stuff'. There are days I travel LONG hours (longest was last year we covered ~750 miles from here to Sioux Falls SD in one 16 hour pull!...and I'm the only one that drives while pulling!!!
But I understand where you are coming from.
For us in our stage in life...I'm fortunate to be able to take 2 week and maybe a little longer trips...and that is what it will take to accomplish the one I'm planning for next year...I figure about 3000-4000 miles total...give or take a few I guess...It would be cool to have an Ex caravan...but my hard driving style to get there may not suit everyone as would theirs suit mine!!! LOL
Cool picture of your F150...this was the first time I had 4 wheeled on soft sand...it was a BLAST!...I'll definitely head back to the OBX again...someday!...but I've got a few plans for the next few years with the one above next year and I still want to do Glacier NP and the road to the sun!...then up north east with Acadia...Niagra falls would be cool...DC...too many places...too little time!

we aired down to 15psi...plus there was two of us.
But I went back by my self after my bud left...I aired down to 15 again and figured if I got stuck...the dodges and girlie man bowties would be LINED UP to pull me out!...just as my little red bus would be there to do for them!
...but I've got 4 wheel drive...do you have a limited slip rear?...that 'may' help...but those two front wheels turning do a LOT of work...If you notice my picture...our wheels are pretty far into that SOFT sand...so after realizing you've got a 2wd...I'd have to say...most likely YES...
BUT I'd pull you out and save you the girlie man bowtie smile!

If the meet is somewhere near the sand, im still gonna drive in it as we will have alot of ex's in our group to pull me out. Ill be the guniea pig in sticky situations. By they way, what do u mean buy hard driving style?

But first we started out at Cerdar Point in Sandusky, OH

and then relocated to a CG in Erie, PA

It was an awsome trip! You'll love Niagra, we spent mostof the time on the American side in the National Park - bought the all day pass to do the Maid of the Mist and everything.
Then a quick jaunt to the CN side just to check things out.
What an amazing collection of BIG COASTERS in ONE PLACE!!!...that would be a cool place to hook up too!...
it's about 3 hours from Fort Wayne...and as you already found out...there are some campgrounds right there too...you can take your RV out to Kelleys island for camping out there too!!!
Those are some NICE PICS!...very cute baby!...
With the new passport laws...having to buy passports for ALL in the family to DRIVE across the boarder...that's kinda steep at near $100 per person!!!...so I'd likely stick to the US side...I'd like to do Quebec with the family...I've been there MANY times on business...Olde Town is very cool...

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
The 'hang' time at the top is incredible!...I always ride the first or second row...hands up the WHOLE time...as you 'crest' the top...you're not really sure if you are gonna keep going, stop, or go backwards! An absolute RUSH!!!
We gotta hook up there next summer...my girls have been whining for me to take them and camp over there!...you up for it?

haha, i dont mind it. Mayb the east coast meet should go to cedar point? I think that i will have to put that as an option on a east coast meet cause everyone seems to like CP But with out a doubt, top thrill and millenium force is the best rides at CP. Next year, i should buy a season pass. This year i didnt have time cause of work
By the way I almost bought the same Jayco you're pulling last season but decided to race instead. This coming summer I think I'm gonna go with the TT. What do you get for fuel mileage and what speed/rpm/gear do you tow in, I ask because my setup is very similar. '01 Ex V10 4X4 4.30's 315/75/16MT/R's.
