I don't think so, the propane torch doesn't have a hot enough or concentrated enough heat. You will have a too big of an area heated up before the metal will get hot enough.
There is a good article on shrink disc in one of the car magazines this month. I go to Borders and read them all ,so I can't recall which one.Have a great day, chuck
14 ga is fairly heavy to be trying to shrink with heat. A shrinking disc will probably not generate enough heat for metal that thick. John Kelly is a metal wizard and has regular posts on the HAMB but he is also found at http://metalshapers.org/101/jkelly/index.html
The metalshapers site is very good if you are looking to develop your skills with metal. I bought a shrinking disc from John Kelly a couple of years ago and I find that it really works magic with most sheetmetal...however, I have never attempted to work 14 ga metal with it.
