55 Panel locks
I was playing with the rear door on my 55 panel as it was stuck, hasn't been opened in quite awhile. Finally got it open but noticed I didn't have an inside handle on the second door. I can find a handle in the parts catalogs but I don't see how the handle mounts as there is no shaft sticking out of the latch. Any idea what I'm missing? Maybe I need a new latch but I haven't seen any of those in the parts catalogs. I just ordered a Ford parts catalog on CD, maybe that will show it.
When I got the door open I decided to pull the lock cylinder and take it to be rekeyed (much cheaper than buying a new one) So I figured I'd get the front door lock also and have them keyed alike. Guess what? No lock on the drivers door. But, there is one on the passenger door. Seems really odd to me. Why no lock on the drivers side? Any ideas? Certainly not a big issue but I'm just curious.
