I need help with the front suspension on my 2000 Excursion. Front bearings on the left side seem to be shot in the knuckle and the hub. The left front wheel hub has let loose and is rubbing on the calliper support. I have removed the hub and the axle has a huge amount of play and a lot of black debris in the knuckle, and there is a lof of play in the axle where it comes out of the differential. I can't find any drawings or parts list to see what all needs replaced. I am reasonably sure the knuckle and the hub need replaced. However I can't tell what else needs replaced. There is about 1/2" of play in the other wheel as well, so it appears that the right side is going as well. I need help with drawings and any info that any of you may have. How do I pull the knuckle off of this beast?

This page may help you a bit. It shows how to remove the knuckle and get all the way to where you need to replace the unit bearing. That is your truck's problem. Do both sides.
Thanks for your response, I will try the repair using the instructions that 05V10 Excursion sent and see what happens. If I run into problems I will beg you for help from the shop manual. Thanks again for your help.
Let me know what you pay for parts. I just replaced my upper/lower ball joints, hub assembly, u joints, and axle arms. Boy was I in a great mood that week.
