That is the most accurate place. IMO. I have mine mounted in the DP, since there was a hole there any way, for convenience. I plan on moving mine to the manifold soon.
Thanks for all of your input. I just ordered the 3 guage kit from Dieselmanor.
My only other concern (s) is that the photo's supplied do not actually depict my '97 PSD so it's leaving some of the decision up to my interpertation.
One such concern is the "T" that is installed in the 1/4" line on the passenger side of the engine that ends near the A/C unit. I think that I have located it and if I'm wrong no real damage is done.
Thanks again for your input. Without this forum and your input I just don't know what I would spend my money on.
It is not that hard to drill and tap the manifold. I drilled mine straight up so the chips fell down and away from the hole. Likewise while tapping. i am sure a couple of fragments fell into the manifold pipe itself, but that was like 10,000 miles ago and i am sure they have passed by now (just like that little piece of bone in your McDonalds hamburger passes!)

This photo is from the bottom looking up, Right? (Gawd I hope so)
And......thanks for the other links, as soon as my equipt. gets here I'm ready to fly. (I think)

Yes sir, no problem. In the other links there are more pics of the exhaust manifold.
I removed the y-pipe and drilled and taped it for boost.
Neal:
I don't know the names of all the parts yet so....is the "Y"-pipe that gizmo that sits behind the fuel filter that has a 1/4' rubber hose attached and ends near the A/C unit?
I think that it was Dieselmanor that stated in there turbo kit they have included a "Y" connector to be placed within that 1/4" hose then attached that connection to the turbo guage.
By the way....just what is boost? I've looked everywhere and can't find an explanition. I know that you guys know.
