138wb= length of wheelbase in inches
color KM... K= Bengal Tan, M= white

DSO 422867= 42= Fargo, N.D....the other 4 are the order number.
Are you sure of the 138 inch wheelbase you listed? That WOULD be a special order...and if that's what it is, some sort of special body was (to be) installed.
One other thing I noticed...your truck was originally two toned. That would be a special order especially on a standard cab, where one color was the norm.
(due to server issues, I was not able to edit the above two posts)
hmmmmmmmm............. yes i am sure of the numbers i gave you. now, is ther any other place on the truck to get numbers about the truck????? the reason i ask is, it has a 292 and what i call a four spd. now, what i call a four spd might be what ford calls a 3spd and dont count the granny low as a spd. If you would like, i can take a pic of it and put it on here. would that help?
Look on the right frame rail, topside between the front crossmember and the core support...I found mine about parallel with the alternator looking at it from the side...wire brush it as the numbers are a light stamp, but rest assured, they are there.
ok.now another question. with those numbers i gave you, can you tell me if the rear end was narrower than standard and were 16"s available as an option on this truck. the reason i ask is, I went to the tire shop toay to put on a set of used 16" tires i got for free on the 16" rims(they are 5x5.5" bolt pattern) that are on the truck and the space between the tire and inner fenderwell was next to nothing. i could barely fit my hand between them but i got like plenty of room on the outside of the tire to fenderwell. can you tell me what yrs oem rims will fit on my truck? thanx for all the help. (also, what is the backspacing supposed to be. just wanna know for personal knowledge)you guys are life savers.
doing a rear tire change on these is no 15 second pitstop...LOL...On my truck I had to walk the wheel over the edge of the drum and then put it on the hub. it is a tight fit...installed I can also just get my hand/fingers between sidewall of the tire and the bed.
I am pretty sure the 15" was all that came on 1/2 tons...and the 16 and 16.5s were for 3/4 tons...But thats just from what all Ive seen and heard over the years.
