They are original lowriser heads with std size valves. Not a performance head but will run well on a stockish build. That sounds like an ad you copied from somewhere?? What are they asking for the heads? There might be better options depending what your end use for them is.
Yep Glenn is right.... There not a bad head..but just not a good head , depending on if your going stock,,or trying to get a little more out of the build...
And Glenn knows what my choices are for useing stock heads...If your going to go with a larger cam and intake..and bump the CR up a tad....The best I have found to run are the C4AE-G's....and have Hardened Ex Valves put in them...CJ size....and some mild port work will go along way with some port matching... JMO..
G, I think I forgot how to build a stock Motor??? LOL
Thanks for the help. The ad is on ebay $389 is the buy it now price. Building a street strip motor for my truck. Do have any suggestions for heads, intake, cam, and carb. Stock crank and pistons as far as i know but only 3k miles on rebuild.
Well .. what kind of change are you looking to spend on this project? lol..I know everyone want all the bang for the buck..we all do...and how much HP are you wanting to build....I know the Most with the least amount of money "right" LOL..
Looking for 400-500 streetable hp. I have time to build the motor so money should not be a problem. I have a complete motor but it is a stock 2bbl from a 71 station wagon. I am putting this in my 84 stepside. Any suggestions welcome.
